BakerBaird Communications are pleased to announce their latest hire fresh from one of the PR industry’s top university faculties, Sheffield Hallam.
Co-founder Stuart Baird said: “We are constantly on the lookout for the best talent as our clients demand the highest standards. Given her experience of corporate, internal and B2B communications with a huge global brand as well as her drive and enthusiasm, Jas is a perfect fit for us.
“As part of the 7Collective group, we have a commitment to support and nurture young talent from diverse backgrounds.”
Jas said: “My time at Disney included the acquisition of FOX and dealing with the pandemic. Being able to be a part of how a company, of that reach, reacts to two such crucial, historic moments, taught me so much. I’m more than ready for the next step here in the Midlands.”
BakerBaird was launched in 2015 by former daily newsroom assistant editor Richard Baker and Stuart Baird, who led government communications in the Midlands.
The business has won a series of Chartered Institute of Public Relations Gold awards from 2015 to 2019 for campaigns as diverse as launching a low-cost medical device designed to save babies’ lives in Africa, to the ‘Levelling Up’ campaign led by Lord Kerslake’s UK2070 Commission.
The company works with the Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office, the NHS, universities and a range of regional and national businesses, including one of the UK’s most prominent technology venture builders, an award-winning design engineer, a global professional services specialist and two charities.
It is currently providing communications support to the East Midlands’ biggest regeneration project, the proposed East Midlands Development Corporation.
